Making the clone of milaap.org using React

About the Project

The milaap.org clone project was developed by three members group(me (Aloknath Sah), Vikash Kumar, Safal Singh) within four days. During those days, we have pumped up our energy and made the project even special. Basically, Milaap is a crowdfunding website where anyone can raise crowdfunding from people for certain issues like education, medical, and others.

In this article, we will go in-depth and discuss-

• How we have made the project?
• What are the challenges we have faced throughout the project?
• What resources we can use?

We used to have to stand up in the morning as well as evening, In which we used to plan the things for the day, fix some bugs, and also check the progress. After that, we have to create an issue on Github and assigned the respective task to the person and a milestone accordingly.

It helped us a lot in completing the project within the deadline.

Mode of Communication-

Communication is important for all teams but should be a top focus when people are not co-located. Our communication medium was Slack and Zoom.

Key Learnings & Overview of Project-

Some key learnings are-

1. Problem Solving: We learn how to solve problems that are important to them, including real community issues, more effectively — even learning from failure and possibly starting over.
2. Creativity & Self-Confidence: We apply creative thinking skills to innovate new product designs and possibilities for projects and how to manage projects and assignments more efficiently.
3. Critical Thinking: We learn to look at problems with a critical thinking lens, asking questions, and coming up with possible solutions for their project.
4. Empowerment: We take ownership over their projects, reflecting on and celebrating their progress and accomplishments.

During the project, we have learned how to resolve merge conflicts, and also communication is the most crucial aspect of any project. By properly communicating with team members we can save time and avoid doing unnecessary things.

Challenges-

• We are facing the issue in the responsiveness of some pages when we are cloning from our team members branch.
• Secondly, We faced merging the conflict issues while pushing our code to Github.
• Also, one of the challenges was to make the cloned website pixel perfect.
